SFO Thursdays
Hey gang,
I'll be in the SFO area every Thursday evening every week until the end of this year. I'm mainly around the airport and Daly City, but BART is there for a reason. There's always an expandable core group of SF/Peninsula FTers who would be delighted to meet a member from the dAArk side. Suggest you propose a Thurs. that might work for you and perhaps a location/cuisine -- Millbrae, Burlingame, Italian/Mandarin, etc. and see what can be stirred up.

Chapeau in San Francisco for early bird dinner would probably on the must-try list. We had a FT dinner with 16 people in July and I think eveyone enjoyed it.
I can probably give you a ride from one of the BART stations.

I went to Farmer Brown a while ago and I thought it was ok as well. Close to Powell BART station and downtown SF.

FYI - I'll be staying at the Hyatt Regency SFO, but can BART it. I can leave Daly City by 6:30pm. |
Perhaps we can have dinner at one of my favorite hole in the wall Chinese place, "8 Immortal" in the Sunset district in San Francisco. Good food, inexpensive price, and I doubt they will ever have their own website. I have been going there for over 20 years, and I think will be going there for the next twenty.

Looks like we will have a mini-DO at:
Eight Immortals Restaurant 1433 Taraval St San Francisco, CA 94116 About 7pm on Thursday night, 9/14. Since I am not sure how many people will be attending, I will not be making any reservations. I will see if I can arrange to pick up IceTrojan either at BART or at his work place. This is an inexpensive place, dinner for eight could run as little as $10 a person or so. |
Wow I was near there last night eating with friends. Didn't see this thread tho. Next week?
