Spotted a FT tag at the RDU Precheck line. I went to introduce myself and met East Coast Wing's wife. She said it was her husband's tag and he's on here all the time but she couldn't remember his handle! I told her that was okay, my girlfriend doesn't know mine either. He PMed me later to introduce himself.

So the question is - should I use my FT tags on my carry on bags?

I also have them on my larger suitcase whenever I need to check a bag. The large yellow tags are unique enough that make them easy to spot at the baggage carousel. If you encounter one that isn't yours then you'll have a story to post on this thread!

To the gentleman who introduced himself to me in the PDX Alaska Lounge, hello! I also saw a tag on a rollaboard suitcase on my way out the door, but I couldn't identify whose it was.

When Flyertalk had 5000 member, no, 10,000 member, no, 100,000 members, I had multiple sightings. These days, at 700,000+ members > no tags seen in the wild. #GoodOldDays .

Well, I'm flying again. Unfortunately, one of my Flyertalk luggage tags went AWOL NCE to LGW (on BA). I'm going to have to get some more

Which begs the question; Where do I get new ones from? Not the sort shown on CafePress but the 'proper' yellow ones

I guess I belong in the 'ancient history' category too

I thought I had a spare somewhere but it's not where I'd expect to find it. I'll keep looking.

Too bad . I suppose IB makes more money on autoplay video ads than FT luggage tags.

Alternatives

Well... you could attend a Japan Do!, where {was it newbierunner?} somebody had the genuine article, and which is where I got mine {as previously indicated}. And you really really would enjoy Japan as well (AFAIC).

I still have one. It's too bad they're not sold anymore. They didn't seem that hard to make, it was a simple laminated a tag with a hole punched in it. The hole widens and breaks over time though, so I'm hoping to find an alternative.

I am currently in the London Heathrow BA First Lounge and WickedStepMother has just come to say hello having seen my bag tag. She knew it was probably me as there is a meet-up page on the BA forum and I had posted I would be here.

Seeing another bag tag is a pretty rare event in the UK!

Spotted a guy at SIN. We chatted for a minute after both having come off of UA LAX-SIN.

I already forgot his handle, but nice to spot someone .
