I won a RT on AA for sending an SMS message during the Mavericks game where those free ticket vouchers were being given out, and decided I wanted to visit your fair city and experience that Midwestern hospitality I've always heard about. :)

Is anyone available for dinner either Friday or Saturday? I get in late Friday evening, which could be a stretch at best.

Could also do lunch on Saturday if it fits anyone's schedules.

I discovered that the Cardinals are in town this weekend for a three-game series with the Cubs. I can get to the game on Saturday, but should I buy my ticket at a website such as StubHub, or will there be single-game tickets available at the Ticket Office in Busch Stadium? I have already checked the Cardinals' website and none were available.

I'm sorry I won't be around, but I head to DTW for the weekend Friday.

Cards/Cubs are hot tickets (heh heh heh). You may want to secure something on line, ebay is always my preferred method. Scalping is illegal in Missouri (ahem) so keep that in mind as you notice the numerous people selling tickets at the famous former ballplayer's restaurant across from the ballpark, and when checking other ticket "outlets" like doormen and concierges at hotels conveniently located close to the stadium.

BE extra careful of our street corner ticket vendors. Tickets are scannable this year, so this is a scam where the person goes into the ball park with the ticket and hands it back out to a friend, who then seeks to sell it on the corner. The ticket is not reuseable, and the unlucky purchaser will be turned away from the ballpark.

I would buy the ticket before hand, since tickets are very difficult to score, especially when Cardinals play the Cubs.

I have to work this weekend and some friends are coming to town, I'm not sure what time I'll have free to meet with ya, but you can PM later to see if I can make it.

I have definitely no plans of obtaining a ticket through any shady or illegal means.

I could have gotten the ticket (and definitely not Standing Room Only) without any problem or major loss of cash. But I had a much better offer. :)

After my morning tour of the Gateway Arch, the lovely and charming scoow met me at noon for lunch at Maggie O'Brien's, where we watched the game. After the 7th Inning Stretch, we went on the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour (with the free two-beer sampling at the end).
