USA Today: Ten underpriced and on-the-rise European cities

Found this wonderful link today...
Ljubljana, Slovenia
Heralded by many as the next Prague, this small capital in what was once communist Yugoslavia is situated by the river on which the mythological Argonauts carried the Golden Fleece. According to legend, it was founded by Jason of the Argonauts, who slew the Ljubljana dragon there. Fast-forward to the break up of the communist states and 1990 referendum when the Slovenians voted for independence; in 1991, Ljubljana was named the capital of a free Slovenia.

Looks like Canarsie and Chris are a starter of a trend. I just signed in to post and found Mrp Alert had already posted the link. It is for an article on the Ten underpriced and on-the-rise European cities. They must have heard of our LJU DO.

No ....I just wanted to make sure everyone else realized that fact. It is why I am so tempted to cancel my commitment that same weekend and attend.

What good are commitments if you can't give in to temptation and cancel them?

WifeMpls & I already have our tickets & hotel reservations. We'll be arriving a few days early on Oct. 23 -- anyone else arriving early?

Why are you arriving in Ljubljana early?

At what hotel are you staying?

So what is the proposed agenda for the three days?

At what hotels are we staying?

Are there any recommended restaurants?

Are we crossing international borders like we did in El Paso?

Is anyone doing anything or traveling anywhere before or after we all meet in Ljubljana?

My reservation is at the Lev for 97 euros/night.

There was an early discussion about this hotel, including websites for finding the best rate. I booked on Expedia.
