I'll have to give you my next-gen phone thing to see if you can get FT to work on it - I can't for some reason.

For those of you who are planning on taking Metro to or from tonight's event Metro has track work planned for this weekend.

From Metro's website

Yellow and Green Line Track Maintenance

Starting Friday, November 3, at 10 p.m., and concluding Sunday, November 5, at midnight, all Yellow and Green Line trains will share one track between Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center and LEnfant Plaza due to track maintenance. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Yellow and Green Line should add 15 to 20 minutes of travel time.

FYI... there is a Caps game tonight and it will be pretty crowded until 7ish when the gamer starts.

In the gallery place metro station, follow the signs to the escalator for "Arena". When you come off the metro escalator to the street level, just keep walking straight across F street and down 7th (down the hill). The chophouse is on the left side.

Another option for those taking metro because of tonights hockey game- take the stop before which is Archives/Navy Memorial. There is only one exit so you won't end up at possibly wrong one. When at the top of the escalator make a uturn right, cross 7th street where Starbucks is on corner and continue up hill for 1.5 blocks. Chop House is on right side and you will be away from all the hockey crowd.

Here is street map- http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ad...w=1&name=&qty=

Going to try and make it this evenig as it would be lovely to see everyone again.

Does the restaurant have valet parking or any parking suggestions?

Yes for 10 bucks. Street Parking is tight around there but do-able.

Valet is definitely the better choice. Some street parking may be available since neither Shakespeare nor Wolly Mammoth have shows tonight, but between Caps fans, people coming into town for dinner in the Gallery Place area, and a number of parking spaces blocked off by construction equipment, you'd be better off expecting to pay for valet.

Well, it's 3AM & I just got home - it was good to see the folks at Chophouse - sorry I came so late tonight!

When I left DC, around 2:30, people were still drinking at Clyde's! Bunch o' alcoholics! And...GoingAway actually drank a beer!?!?!? I don't think I've ever seen that - liquor maybe - but beer? Wow!

Great precursor to the upcoming London Do ... new folks to meets, others I haven't seen in awhile and still others I see all the time but it's still nice to visit with ... we caught the VERY last ORANGE line train last night, perfect timing.

Some pics Pics(guess from whose camera) available.

Sorry to miss you DCA, we were the rowdy bunch at the upstairs bar. Can't miss us.

GoingAway, we ended up catching the LAST Yellow line train at 2:57AM so it was well planned or just plain lucky!

Event was great, thanks to organizers! Also was a great surprise to see Randy there. Bhatnasx, glad you could make it too.

Pics will be up shortly....
