Where r the single FT's???

Like it's not hard enough to find a good man. Try to find one who understands the value of points. Points for airlines, points for hotels, points for credit cards - it's all good. There must be single FT's out there??? :D

There are a lot.

You should probably list the things that are important to you in a single man:

His airline and hotel programs. :D

Come to any FT get together... there are always a few single male and female FTers of all ages - as well as a couple who are willing to pretend to be single for the weekend. ;)

Don't need to look very far, there are plenty of single men in one particular forum of FT, as concentrated as the women's forum. ;) :D

Though some couples have met via FlyerTalk, this isn't really a dating site, per se. It's primarily about miles, points, and travel.

And the Community forum is primarily for posting FlyerTalk get-togethers, which, when publicly posted, are by tradition (and Randy's expectation) open to ALL (not just to singles, couples, persons in a specific age range, etc.). It's also used to post "happy birthday" notices and other notices of congratulation or condolences. And then there are a few other miscellaneous types of notices....

But frankly, I think that posting "Where are the single FTs" on the Community board of FlyerTalk is more than a little tacky. :td: This isn't a place for posting personal ads.

Take the time to attend, or even organize, some FlyerTalk get-togethers, get to know people here, and you'll meet some singles. ^

I'm waiting for the thread "Singles only under 25 FT Do."

Well actually, the proposed "under-25 only" Do was probably tacitly a singles mixer. ;)

There was a LARGE singles Do in MSY a couple years ago.. Randy never said anything about that violating t&c's.. there weren't very many complaints about that one either.. So I don't think your comments are quite accurate.. including the tacky part..

just b/c one doesn't like the idea or fit (don't know if you do or not) a FT do proposal... no need to knock it, just don't go

Correct... although we stated for the record from the beginning that it was open to anyone who wanted to attend but we hoped to attract a primarily single audience. (Just wanted to clarify the difference between that gathering and the ones that have been proposed where folks have stated "only people under 30 are welcome". Our weekend would have been appropriate - on the larger scale at least - for any FTers who wanted to attend. It just so happened that the activities we planned had a very high mix-and-mingle ratio.

Someone called? :o

I agree with Kathy - a "singles" DO is tacky for Flyertalk. It forces an atmosphere that is unnecessarily limiting to others... and if you must get your groove on, there are other sites that specialize in these things (as tazi has noted).
