Star, problem is quite complex.
CX told me open jaw is possible, but i can't redeem an award tix.
Now, i'm trying to adjust every thing. i'm now waiting a confirm from Pan Pacific for the hotel.

Hope everything works out. :)

at the moment i have 2 possibilities

1)
2Aug MXPLHR BA571
2Aug LHRHKG CX252
3Aug HKGDPS CX785
3 night in DPS
6Aug DPSSIN SQ141
1 night in SIN
7Aug SINDPS SQ142
7Aug DPSHKG CX784
7Aug HKGLHR CX251
8Aug LHRLIN BA564

Plus: Only 1 Night in SIN
Minus: Very tiring on the way back (4 legs together)

2)
4Aug MXPLHR BA571
4Aug LHRHKG CX250
5Aug HKGSIN CX711
2 nights in SIN
7Aug SINHKG CX710
7Aug HKGDPS CX787
3 nights in DPS
10Aug DPSHKG CX784
10Aug HKGLHR CX251
10Aug LHRLIN BA564
Plus: a plenty of time in SIN, afternoon flight ex LHR.
Minus: 2 nights in SIN (paid by me): no possible 1 night (air fare not cheap!)

HKG-SIN-HKG fare (CX or SQ) is more or less the same of DPS-SIN-DPS (SQ).

Major problems are now about availability on BA flights (incredible!)

pan pacific or Oriental?

as you can read from the title, which would you choose for a 2-nights stay considering a deluxe city room at the oriental and a business room at Pan Pacific??

Thanks for any hints.
cheers
luke

p.s. for KIWI... just one more day before confirming finally my presence:)

Never stayed recently in both properties. I usually stay at Grand Hyatt, but may be this time forget all the GP points, just something reasonable rates for the stay. I am looking at corporate rate SGD190+++ with the option of Ritz Carlton, Fullerton, and Raffles at the Plaza.
I've been to Ritz Carlton. The bathtub by the full length glass window is definitely worth it. ;) StarG and I were discussing about the Fullerton. It has an advantage of being near Boat Quay, easy to walk back from Boat Quay - Harry's Bar at 3 am... especially after all those drinks. ;) :D :D And it's also near Funan IT for me to get something related to computer/electronic.

Sorry, I definitely can't make the do, I'll be in Shanghai.

For accommodation recommendations, I'm an Intercon fan myself.

Also, try Sim Lim Square for your computer components, I find I get better deals there than Funan and a wider range. many of the sellers are in both places anyway. If you need something specific I can PM you a contact there.

Thank you Gaz! At the moment, I have not decided yet where to stay. Friends from Jakarta usually prefers somewhere near Orchard for their shopping convenience. (Crazy, eh?) But, I will keep it mind.

Now if LX doesn't screw up again, I am in also for the dinner. When does it start ?
Maybe I come late for dinner, but drinks for sure.
