Two people, staying at the Sheraton Royal Denarau

5/21 LAX Presidents Club (Terminal 6)
 

For those of you flying into LAX on 5/21 into T6/T7/T8 (which would be on United or Continental), Nicksterguy and myself are both Presidents Club members who would be able to guest in three (3) additional guests. Terminals 6, 7, and 8 are all interconnected airside (behind security).

We will be arriving at:

- 522pm (Nicksterguy)
- 540pm (channa + SO)

and will head over to the Presidents Club at Terminal 6 for a few hours before heading to TBI for Air Pacific. If anyone would like to join us for free drinks, snacks, and WiFi, please post.

Even you die-hard United Red Carpet fans, we'd be happy to guest you in as well...unless you really like paying for your drinks at the RCC. :D

I will be there 5/15-5/22. Staying at the Sheraton Royal Denaru SPG50 rate.

Wife and I are both AMEX Plat... should be able to get some guests in as well since we'll be flying in on CO...right? I'm new at the AMEX Plat thing. I don't think we'll be there til 7-ish though.

Edit: we will be staying at Qamea resort until 5/26, when we will join everyone at the Sheraton Royal Denarau.

Is anyone coming into L.A. a day early (5/20 Friday) prior to their trip departing LAX on the 21st? ditto on staying an extra day on 5/28 upon return to LAX?

Just a reminder. For 20,000 United or US Air miles you can fly from Fiji to AUSTRALIA via a stopover in Auckland NZ if you wish. Same deal is 40K in Biz class RT.

All on Air NZ - a quality carrier.

That deal allows you to fly not only to SYD, but even to MEL, BNE or PERTH ... look that up on a map - it is a LAX-NYC type distance from Sydney. All for 20K from Fiji! Thats a LOT of flying. :p

Lots of FT'ers are coming down here soon from USA for OZFest and many were b!tching that fares ex USA were real high late May. Anyone doing the Fiji run late May may like to look into this possibility. :)

Howdy Oz. I got excited by your suggestion. What an opportunity. But, alas, no availability ! Thanks for the heads-up nonetheless. Someday we'll get there!

Put me down for the Denarau as well. ^ As I am a Hilton and Hyatt kind of guy, I only had 500 Starpoints in my account. I went to the SPG website, discovered you can buy Starpoints at 500 point increments. I bought 500 SPG points which posted to my account and was able to reserve a beachfront room for $300 FJD a night. This was $85 FJD a night less than the 35% off link someone posted in the original mileage run thread.

So...even if you dont have a SPG account. Sign up, spend $50 to obtain 1000 points, save $250 on a 5 night stay and come out ahead $200 after the cost of purchasing the points.

We are staying the night near LAX on the return (5/28) and leaving 8:30am the next morning.

MilageAddict, did you call SPG today? I called them a couple a days ago to try and use a SPG50 but was told there was no availability, maybe something opened up (will call again) in the interim I have a res at the villas 5/30 to 6/5 party of 4 :)

BTW, does anyone know of any hotels in the LAX area that offer day rates?
