NYC -- Dinner on Monday, March 14th

I'm coming to NYC on March 14th for a conf at the W=A.

Any NYC-area FTers up for some dinner on Monday night?
My CO flight lands LGA @ 5:06 pm.

Cite has a $69 deal with wine
Time: 8:00 p.m. (or whenever Catman can get reservations).

Hope to see some old, and possibly meet some new, friends.

Mark

Cite sounds good to me. I can be there Monday 14Jan.

Catman Mar 7, 2005 2:02 pm

IF we can push it to 8pm we can get the $69 wine dinner (three courses food, four courses unlimited wine.)

Unless something comes up last minute I can make it but NOT before 8pm.

Billiken Mar 7, 2005 2:17 pm

8:00 p.m. it is.

Count me in for Monday inasmuch as I dropped the ball on getting something together in December. Hey, I was out of town :p

Arcolaio99 Mar 7, 2005 4:58 pm

As I am no longer in NYC, I won't be able to make it. Man I would of loved to go. Had a great time last time Billiken was in town. Hopefully sometime soon I can make it back to NY. Enjoy!

I'll be there but Franny is working that night (actually just a Co-op board meeting but they usually do some food during or after).

RobotDoctor Mar 8, 2005 9:34 am

This sounds like a fun dinner. As usual, I will not be able to make it as I have commitments elsewhere. I will lift a glass to toast all in attendance. Have a great dinner.

Best regards,

RD

Regrets

I'll be having dinner at the Guastavino's on 59th Street and won't be come to the Cite. Thanks for the invitation, even though nobody knows who I am!

dchristiva Mar 8, 2005 11:03 am

Sounds fun, but I'll be winging it to YVR for work. Maybe next time.

UA-dependent tentative Yes...

I can probably make it, if (how's this for an FT excuse) UA clears my waitlist to switch from the 7:40AM flight to SFO on Tuesday to the 11:30AM departure. If I have to be at JFK by 6 something AM the next day, I don't think I am up for an all-u-can-drink at Cite' the night before...

I'm sure some us will be able to take up any slack in consumption that occurs.
:D

Count me in

My WL hasn't cleared yet, but it probably will. Anyway what the heck...I'm in p.s. F, so if I have to crash in the Spacebed all the way to SF I'll do it.

SeeYa Mar 10, 2005 5:47 pm

Add me to the list, please. :)

Catman Mar 10, 2005 8:28 pm

List has been updated above.

If anyone else wants to join that "six" can be extended. Post here and I'll call Cite to change the #'s.

See ya Monday night!

Catman,

I was at Cite' tonight for dinner and the wines they had tonight will also be the four selections for Monday:

Iron Horse Chardonnay, Sonoma 2001
Dei Vino Nobile de Montepulciano 2001
Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa 2001
Nicolas Feuillatte Brut NV

Enjoy!

Catman Mar 13, 2005 10:04 pm

Flyerwife.. thank you for the preview! My mouth is already drooling at the wine list (esp. the Robert Mondavi... which looks intreging.)

Cite sure knows how to pick wine.

It should be a fun evening. If anyone else wants to join us please post here by 4pm NYC time and I can call the restaurant to update the list.

See you all tomorrow night. :)

Preview? Looks intriguing? Catman...did you enjoy these exact wines so much just last month at Cite, that you've forgotten that you've already experienced them? How quickly you forget! :)

They're all great, and I found the 2001 Iron Horse Chardonnay an especially enjoyable surprise. As did Catman, but he's apparently forgotten them all! :)

Catman Mar 14, 2005 10:47 am

PremEx... I blame short term memory loss! ;)

The names of the wines are starting to come back to me, and I do remember liking the IRon Horse a little more! Sorry that I forgot.

Looks like we're set for tonight at 8p, baring any last minute additions.

Fun Time at Cite

Catman:

Great call re the restaurant.

Glad to meet/see everyone (again).

Thanks for coming out to dine with the out-of-towner

I concur on Billikan's statement. Glad everyone enjoyed cite (again, the Iron Horse was the clear tasting winner, although some preferred the champaigne.)

Great to see everyone again!

Billikan... remember you'll always have someone to dine with in NYC whenever you come to town. Hope to see ya again soon.
