Well since the general consensus is that it's no big deal to change venues then I say let's do it. So how about BA Grill at 6pm? That should give SeeYa enough time to eat and get to the airport for her red-eye, the Missy/Sissy sisters (say that fast 3 times ;) )time to join us and make me try to figure out public transportation back to the hotel after drinking (If I end up somewhere in Vancouver you all will be to blame ;) :D ).

Does that sound o.k. to everyone?

You might miss Vancouver, but you'll not miss any additional cocktail opportunities on the way back to the airport! :D

Couldn't resist coming to one of the world-famous SEA FlyerTalk dinners after talking to Missy on chat tonight, so here I come. Flying on a $198 r/t US Airways fare makes it even better.

What's there to do to pass the time from early afternoon to dinner? I've never been to Seattle before so am clueless. A rental car would be only $20.88 including tax (thanks National!) so I'll probably get one to make tooling around town a bit easier.

You may want to rethink the car if you're going to be drinking with us later in the evening. Seattle has great public transportation between the Airport and downtown seattle. Even if you end up taking a taxi back to the airport, its still cheaper than a car when you consider downtown parking costs. Public bus is free in the downtown zone, and most everything is within walking distance anyway.

The express bus (#194) leaves from the south end of baggage claim at 1:25pm (and 1:55 in case you're running late) and is downtown in a half hour. Get off at the University Station and you're smack in the middle of downtown Seattle. You can catch the same bus #194 at 3rd and Pine (about 4 blocks from dinner) at 9:21pm and be back at the airport at 9:52.

All for $1.25 each way :)

Wow! This is amazing! I may actually be in town during one of these!

There is a possibility I'm going to be in the SEA area the week of Jan 31-Feb 4. Of course, I always leave Anchorage as soon as I possibly can which usually means right after work on Friday. :)

Have to get confirmation from my client though so I'll post back if I'm able to make it. If I can, I'll have to find out how to get there as I normally stay in Renton but will have a car.

Oh, and I did discover this because of Talk Mail!

I'm going to make the reservations at the B.A. Grill on Tuesday (1/25) next week and wanted to be sure that I have the right number of people.

Haven't heard from bkkth as to whether or not he/she knows about the change in venue and Stef315 is a maybe. If these people (and others who want to join us of course) could please post here by Tuesday as to what their plans are I would appreciate it. If you don't know by then I'm sure that later would be o.k., it's just that I'm anal retentive and like to get things done early ;) .

ILP and jd, we need to find a way to get 21D out of his/her seat (DFW-SEA) ;).

bkkth knows about the change and mentioned to me that he plans on being there. Next time I see him on line, I'll remind him. I just hope they have plenty of dulce de leche on hand!
