SEA DOO VII - August 12-14, 2005 -
Please RSVP here. Payment instructions included.
Friday August 12 -
Update*** for those wanting to grab some pre-game snackage, McCormick and Schmicks on First and Spring has a great happy hour. I will be there from 5-6 with everyones tickets. If you aren't able to meet us at McCormicks, your tickets will be available at Will Call, no later than 6:30pm, under your last name.***
Mariners vs Angels, Safeco Field 7:05pm
followed by
W Hotel Bar 10pm or shortly after the game ends
Saturday August 13 -
Woodinville Booze Tour 10:45am-5pm
Those involved in the car/van pool need to meet in front of the Sheraton at 10:45am We are shooting for an 11:30 arrival at Redhook
Lunch and Brewery tour at Redhook, Wine Tastings at Chateau Ste Michelle and Columbia Winery
**new info 7/27** A 15 psgr van has been rented to supplement the transportation so we should have transpo for everyone. I think the most fair option is if everyone who is catching a ride contribute $10 round trip to their driver, regardless of whether its in the rental or in a private car...as all the drivers will have to pay for parking and gas. As stated above, we will be meeting in front of the Sheraton at 10:45am to caravan.
***THE MAIN EVENT***
McCormick's Fish House & Bar -8pm **prepaid event $41.50 pp**
722 Fourth Ave, Seattle, Washington,
(206) 682-3900
**prepaid event $41.50 pp**
Post event imbibing
Kells - Post Alley
Sunday August 14 -
***update of the earlier update***
The center where our amenities are being donated have a need for both of Sunday's meals to be provided and served at the center. Anyone interested in volunteering to donate grocery $, cook (at my place), and or serve, please PM me ASAP.
It's likely that there will still be people heading out to the falls. We'll have more info Sat night.

Random stuff you might want to know
Transportation:
The Public Bus runs between the airport and downtown frequently. The cost runs between $1.25 and $2.00 depending on the time of day you are travelling. You can use the Online Trip Planner to determine times and routing options. Additionally, there is a "free zone" downtown.
The airport shuttles will take you to and from the Airport and most Downtown Hotels for under $10
Overnight parking isn't cheap, so keep that in mind should you choose to rent a car. The only official SeaDoo event where you could conceivably need a vehicle is the Redhook Tour.. and only if you don't plan to drink. In the past I've rented a van and will probably do so again this year.
Hotels:
There is no "official" SeaDoo hotel, because ..well.. everyone has their own chain preferences.
Sheraton, Westin and W tend to house the majority of the SeaDoo crowd. Perhaps our resident lurker will find a fabulous rate for us??? *HINT*
The Grand Hyatt is a very nice, centrally located property as well. It used to come up on Priceline at a ridiculously cheap rate, but I don't think we've been as lucky the last couple years
Marriott has a new waterfront property, a Renaissance on 6th and Madison, and a Springhill Suites out by the Freeway. None are exactly central..but close enough.
The downtown Hilton is NOT popular round here...so our HH lovers usually stay out at the Homewood Suites. A bit out of the way..but you get your points. Spiff, KathyWdrf, and SkiAdcock have stayed there in the past if you want more info.
People seem to do well with priceline... a 4* bid will likely net you the Sheraton or Westin. 3* might get you the Edgewater, Red Lion, or West Coast.
Amenity Collection
It's become a SeaDoo tradition that Hotel/Airline amenities are collected at the Saturday night dinner for local shelters. Consider this your fair warning however, that anything with "Aveda" on the label isn't going any farther than my bathroom! I <heart> Aveda.

In checking the past few seasons, it seems that the 2nd weekend in August is always M's vs Yanks. But they will probably play the series in NY next summer, since it was here this year.
So once again ... no Ms = less people taking up our hotel space, and more time at the bar

I wonder how many pages long this thread will be before we've even picked a dinner venue.
