SEA is well represented at this party already. What is sorely lacking is a confirmation from the boaboy.
If you two want to hang out at the airport for a bit, my flight comes in about 45 min after yours.

But, should your plans change, and if any of the following interest you:
Great music
Wonderful food
Cheap booze
Friendly company
then, you should put this weekend on your ToDo list.

I can't commit to Labor Day this far in advance but I will definitly keep a look out for cool things going on in the city. Assuming I am in town would love to meet for dinner or drinks one night.
If you haven't already been and are a history buff you should check out the D-Day museum. Spectacular.

Short LaborDoo possible events list
A few of the activities I was thinking of (in between the usual Pub crawls and restaurant invasions) might include:
- Airboat Bayou / Swamp tour (lookin' for gators) with lunch on the bayou
- Paddlewheel Riverboat cruise / tour
- Mini gambling junket over to Harrah's
- Saints vs. Dolphins (pre-season) Superdome, Friday, 9/3, 7 PM (for the early arrivals, while waiting for the rest of the clan to arrive)
Two months to go!

Since it's pre-season, walk-up Saints tickets should not be difficult to obtain at all. I'd figure if anyone else was interested, we'd just "wing it". The Superdome's not far from where most of us will be staying anyhow.
As far as an expensive cab ride to the swamp tours goes (it's 25 minutes), I have a Taurus rented (a whopping $79 for the 3 days including taxes, a AAA Hertz special) that can hold 5 interested swamp victims...err, adventurous souls. There are also some beautiful antebellum homes and plantations that we can "bus" tour if there's interest; a paddlewheeler ride on the big muddy can be also be an relaxing way to spend a few hours lazing on the river.
If we wind up with no planned activities out of the quarter or downtown, I'll nix the car as the date gets closer. There are also some intersting activity possibilities listed here: http://neworleanswebsites.com/cat/tr/to/sw/sw.html

But it only seems to be blacked out for a one-night stay beginning on the 4th. Every other combination (including 9/3 - 9/6) works.
