For barbecue connoisseurs, there's also Jones Bar-Be-Q in KCK, still run by the two Jones sisters. It's quite small but has a loyal following. Only open for lunch on Th/Fri/Sat.
And for any of the Hyatt enthusiasts, I will strongly recommend Hotel Kansas City, smackdab in the middle of Downtown, just two blocks from the streetcar and a couple stops to Jack Stack. I do staycations there and they have a great team. It's really a nice property. Beautiful facility, good bars, excellent restaurant.

I enjoy minor league ball and if you do too, our team (the Monarchs, named after our Negro League team) is playing exhibition games against the Savannah Bananas on Th/Fri/Sat of that week. Also, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is located just east of Downtown in the 18th & Vine District.

Jones Bar-B-Q is a short drive from Slap's/Woodyard, so it could certainly be a contender in between those two stops.

This looks awesome.
I will be there.
Logistics TBD.
Baseball would be high on my list though. I would also be okay with catching the game Sunday I am assuming at 1:05.

Mark me as tentative, I'm not sure when my job ends yet. I'm currently booked to arrive May 4 at 6pm and depart May 7 10:20am. I'll have to figure out hotels later

Really sorry I have to miss this - I will try to keep early May 2024 open so I can attend next year.
Back when Violist and lili were regular attendees, they always headed to Stroud's after (Oklahoma/KC) Joe's early Saturday afternoon.
