Indeed. In the end I paid around 70 € for shipping in one case. And I´m still not sure if my "premium" will arrive in time. Another packe "can´t get delivered" regarding DHL

I have never had customs declared on any Japan bound shipment from a secret santa, but Denmark has been a bit more greedy...

As someone in international trade - De Minimis for Japan is 75USD - anything declared under this is not dutiable.

I believe for GIFTS in the EU it is 39euros, but for things not declared as gifts it is 0.

when I looked up Finland it was €22 but I could have found a wrong thing

Question Perishable package?

I just received notice from USPS that a package will be delivered to me tomorrow. However, I will not be home tomorrow. Is it perishable? Should I ask my neighbour to pick it up for me?

The EU is not harmonised on that point, it is country by country specification.

Wasn't 22Euro for commercial transactions pre July when the whole system changed?

Anyway, you are right that you do need to look it up and the de minimis for gifts is separate from commercial transactions.
