One possible location: The Stave in "Millville" (quotes since like OAK, there's no there there) - new joint out in the hinterlands near Glenn's Creek, Castle & Key, Woodford Reserve that appears to have a lot of outdoor seating:

Thanks for all the info Herb687!
I booked Visit Claiborne (the $20 tour) for 11 am Friday Oct 8 - there are 5 spots left as of now.
I also booked (because why not) Mill Ridge for 3.30pm Sunday Oct 10 (no indication of nr spots left). This one should fit in nicely between Crank & Boom and dinner!
Both seem cancellable up to 48 hours prior.
Since I booked the horse farm tours for Fri/Sun, Saturday will work for reserved seats.
As for dinner - The Stave looks like a nice option. I’ll go look at the others as well.
I likely won’t get into town until about 7.30-8pm on Thursday so cannot commit to dinner (flying into CVG around 5pm).
Claiborne Farm, Oct 8,9,10 (home of Secretariat) - always a good tour and a place steeped with history. Been there at least 3 times. Always willing to go back.
Mill Ridge Farm, Oct 9, 3.30pm (nursery farm) - been there twice now; great tour with plenty of opportunities to feed carrots to babies!

Surprisingly availability is better on Stubhub for Saturday at the moment. A few different sections available at $51/ticket. I think there was something at ~$45 for Friday but from memory it was in row A (the unmasked masses milling about in the aisle right in front of the seats?)

Posting on behalf of someone who got himself suspended *cough*
We have a reservation at Stave for *Sunday* at 6:15pm, party of 6. This covers Governator, GrjApp, Herb687, HPN-HRL and me so far, so we have space for one more (and could surely bump it up to 8 if we needed to)

2. Anyone up for something at Glenns Creek beforehand? From searching past threads they seem well-regarded.
https://glennscreekdistillery.com/#visitor-experience
$15 regular tasting, (last slot 3pm), or they have "An Hour with The Distiller" at $300 for up to 8 people which is also available at 3pm on that Sunday (website lists a 3rd "HAND FILTERED EXPERIENCE" but it is Tues/Thurs only)
Would still leave us with some time to kill before dinner though.
3. for anyone seeking an alternate Friday evening venue, I think that post-CCI krazykanuck and I plan on hitting up Country Boy Brewing, which now has a kitchen with pub fare etc. (I ate there in Oct 2020)

Unfortunately, I'll have to withdraw from this.
I was looking forward to meeting everyone, and experiencing this DO that I've heard so much about.
I'll keep checking and hopefully the next one will work out.
Enjoy!

So after a couple of logistical hiccups our schedule is finally coming together. Keeneland is totally sold out Saturday, so my cousin and I are doing GA on Sunday. We are doing the Glenn's Creek tour at 10am Saturday and then will probably just goof around and drink craft beer for some of the afternoon, maybe drive down to Berea. (If anyone else is not going to Keeneland on Saturday we'd be happy to meet them for lunch.) No plans yet for Sunday after Keeneland or Monday lunch but we will be dressed rather casually both days. If Graeter's is still open down the street from Country Boy, there will be a stop there at some point.
We are getting in a little later on Friday so we will miss dinner but will catch up with folks probably after 8pm. (Staying at the HR.) My cousin leaves by car after lunch on Monday, and I have to hang out somewhere with wifi and my roller bag until my 6:30pm flight to Atlanta.

Let’s discuss and perhaps choose possible 2022 LEX DO dates now, so we can book Hyatts before the peak/off-peak pricing starts later this month.
Presumably Keeneland will be a peak rate time.
Apr 8-10 & Oct 14-16 is what HPN-HRL and I have been discussing.

I'm a definite for April. Already planned a trip with my best friend (52 years and counting) for that weekend. I'm not settled on October, but the good news is that it does not conflict with the Chicago Seminars.

Maybe I shouldn't mention this yet, but I successfully applied a suite upgrade cert for both the April and October dates listed above!

I'm gone every weekend in April so I'm out. October dates sound fine.
