CHICAGO Neapolitan Pizza Dinner at Forno Rosso (NW Chicago/near ORD) Mon June 24
There is actually a certification a restaurant & staff can complete to be designated as producing true Neopolitan pizza. The organization is in Naples Italy, the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, which certifies restaurants worldwide for authentic Neopolitan pizza; the certification process is extensive and extends to recipes, ingredients, cooking equipment, etc. They have certified <50 restaurants in the United States, and we in the Chicago area are blessed with three locations that have this certification: Parkers' (in Downer's Grove IL a western burb of Chicago), and two in the city of Chicago: Spacca Napoli & Forno Rosso.

We had a good group of Flyertalkers and a delicious dinner at Forno Rosso back in 2014:

Sounds good. Will be good to compare to other Neapolitan pizza places I like. Can also take a side trip to Oak Mill Bakery up at Lawrence.
