July 28, a day of sadness -- the day JS Bach died, thus ending the Baroque era, the day that the 30-day ultimatium placed by Austria-Hungary on Serbia demanding that an arrest be made in the assassination of arch-duke Ferdinand expired, resulting in a small skirmish called WWI.

But also a day of festivities -- the birthday of Jackie O, Peruvian independance day, and most importantly, that most auspicious of occasions, 3timesalady day!!

Mine is May 29th..the day that Sir Edmund Hillary reached the summit of Mt. Everest (though I'm younger than the year it happened). There must be a metaphor in there somewhere. :)
