Anyone that says that being on the Talkboard is a thankless job is IMHO wrong, I for one am grateful for each and every member that puts their time into it!

Thanks for everything William http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif

wharvey, thanks for the work you did on the TalkBoard. I'm very sorry to see you leave it as I appreciated your input on the issues that came up during my short tenure.

Glad to see that you will remain a contributor to the Flyertalk message board overall, however.

Sincerely,

William R. Sanders

While I am relatively new and have no idea what talkboard is, I know how it is to have a thankless job and so here is my appreciation for all done.

You mentioned taking the position for a year and I think that is good to go in and volunteer for a bit, then step out and let someone else try it.

I promise to check it out and see what you have done.

There are so many sections on Flyertalk how on earth does anyone get any work done? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
It is very addcitive!

My best.

You epitomize the ideals of the Founding Fathers of "legislative" citizen service, resurrected by the latter-day proponents of term limits (on which I express no opinion).

Given the depth of emotional involvement many have just from posting in this community, it says volumes about your character that you can "step back." Of course you did mention something about still being a chat participant, didn't you? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

When banging one's head against a wall, it is important to stop before the inevitable fracture occurs.

I hope that, perhaps many years down the line, you may again decide the time is right to give us a more direct benefit of your perspective. If not, or in the meantime, thanks from all of us, whether we know it or not!
