Let’s put 23,000 posts into perspective...
Currently, the combined posts of everybody who has posted in this thread so far (including me) still is not even half the posts that ScottC himself has already posted. |
Yikes And congratulations
Many more posts ! I think the House of miles has hired another new team to keep up with the technology of how to keep up with that many posts Is there a Flyertalk 12 step forum coming ? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif And I was excited just getting to my first 1000 posts ! What do you get when you reach the 23 k level ? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ------------------ AA & Starwood,Marriott Platinum Hyatt, Hilton Diamond Swissotel Club Gold U/A 1k [This message has been edited by 777 global mile hound (edited Dec 03, 2003).] |

That is a truly awesome contribution to FT. ------------------ ~ Glen ~ sipping bubbly from a UA 747-400 exit row 15 near you SOON! [This message has been edited by ozstamps (edited Dec 03, 2003).] |
Yes, congrats to ScottC. I've certainly found his posts to be of help to me in the technology forum and he's been an invaluble help in his new volunteer duties as a moderator.
I'm sure we'll also welcome oz as he nears his 20,000-post level as well. Those are truly long distance posts. The funny thing about oz is that he posts when i'm thinking that the great country (or most of it) of Australia should be sleeping. Honestly, how these members do it is well beyond me. But as we know, no matter how much we post, there will still only be one 'doc.' Gee, perhaps we need to re-introduce the FT Evangelist title? |

My apology for joining in so late, ScottC, congrats for almost 24k posts!
I remember, I applaud you for joining the 10k Post Club in June 2003, and within half a year, you did around 13k posts or around 70 posts/day! If you keep that pace, you will catch up with doc very soon! |
|
yawn.

70/day - simply amazing 10K posts in 83 days makes an average of 120 posts/day. As you said before: Simply amazing! [This message has been edited by Patron (edited Jan 17, 2004).] |

It's part of the modern, competitive, analytical age. "OMNI" and "In the News" may be "easy posts," but to reach the extraordinary post counts of doc, ozstamps (who lost many thousand from his count to a computer glitch!), and ScottC (our resident computer savant), one must have a lot of free time, or excellent time management skills, or both. Most importantly, one must be committed to making the Flyer Talk community a better place for all. Congratulations! |
FWIW, Ozstamps regained every single one of his posts after I helped FT staff out on how to manually edit the post count, so his current post count is the correct one.

Should we take a pool like when Scotty hits 25k or 30k?
