Will anyone be in town? I'm on a MR to start off the new year and availabile for drinks/dinner etc. if anyone wants to get together.

I'll have an 8 hour layover in HKG on Mon 19-Jan arriving from LHR on CX 252 @7:45 am connecting to AKL on CX 117 @3:35 pm. I could be enticed to spend some time away from the wing/pier lounges.

Oops. I lost track of the thread when I went to PVR for 6 days. I have just returned.
Actually, my arrival date is the 15th late afternoon (CO99) and I am returning home on the 18th (not 19th) on CO 98.
Does anyone have a suggestion/preference where to meet and a time? I am totally flexible as this is a MR. I am staying the 1st and last night at the Sheraton and the middle night at the YMCA on Sailsbury.

OK - how about Fri Jan 16th. We can meet in lobby bar of Sheraton 8pm before deciding on plans there and then.

Friday the 16th @ the Sheraton sounds good....I'm still 50/50 owing to some family matters that haven't yet resolved themselves, but keeping fingers crossed. I know that WWBGD will be staying at the Sheraton (as will I if I can make it!), and we arrive around 6:30pm into HKG that evening, so 8pm would work nicely.

I'll keep you updated as to whether its going to work out for me.....Best wishes, Dave

I will be in HKG for meetings and 2 Chinese New Year parties next weekend. However Friday evening the 16th will be open for me.

I can meet with everyone at the Sheraton around 8 pm on the 16th. Anyone up for drinks in Central afterwords? I usually have a few in Lan Kwai Fong before heading uphill to some clubs along Hollywood Road.

Looks like all is going to work out for the best, and that we'll be able to join you guys!! WWBGD and I will be arriving HKG @ approx 6:15PM, and getting to the Sheraton for check-in as soon as possible thereafter.....

Graeme - Tho I have your mobile number, I won't have a working cellphone, so "where" will you be meeting: Towers Lounge, Lobby, Bar, etc?? Hope we can make it by 8PM, but I don't think that should be a problem.

Very strong probability I will be in HKG next weekend-- would love to meet up with you guys-- if one or two of ya' can e-mail me a GSM phone #, I'll give ya' mine back. Wouldn't mind exploring Lan Kwai Fong at night as well.
