DC Young Professional FTers

Hi there,

I am interested in starting a social group in the DC metro area for young professionals who like to travel for fun or travel for work. Ideally, this would be for men and women in thier 20's and 30's. We could meet up for happy hours and dinners at restaurants on a regular basis. Scheduling other activities, such as hiking or ski trips, are definite possibilities. This would be a great way to meet other people, share travel stories, expand your circle of friends, and meet future travel companions. Let me know if anyone is interested!

I don't live in the DC area, but you're looking for trouble by trying to put an age limit on those welcome to attend a FT event.

I'm going to close this thread. Why?

Because Randy has already spoken his opinion on this a few months ago - specifically that the FT community that he supports is open to all individuals regardless of their age. The last time someone had the idea to have age-exclusive events, it erupted into a minor circus.

DC already has a wonderfully active group of FTers. I think that someone may have pointed you already to the monthly happy hours that group holds. I think that most of the 20 to 30 something FTs who attend FT activities is already involved in those. There is also a FT ski trip planned for Vail in March.

And of course, if you would like to propose a specific activity of your own (you mention hiking and dinners), I would encourage you to post one... just make sure it is open to everyone.
