Chicago on 30-Dec -- Dinner Anyone?
 

I'm in Chicago overnight on 30-Dec. (Staying at the ORD Hilton.)

Any FTers up for dinner/drinks?

I will have a car and could come downtown.

I have a meeting in Northbrook that should end around 4:30 p.m.
Again, I'm at the Hilton ORD and will have a car.

I'm indifferent as to type of restaurant, although sushi is not at the top of my list.

Anybody like (or know) Flat Top Grill (stir fry)? There is one located west of the Loop, near Oprah's Harpo Studios. Good food, easy on-street parking, close to the expressway back out to the airport. Or do you prefer something more "Chicago?"

I have a 3:00 p.m. meeting in Northbrook which should end by 4:30 (at the very latest).

I'd like to go back to the Hilton ORD to lose the suit.

We had a mini-do at Flattop over a year ago. Great food and inexpensive. I should be in town that evening and would like to join in.

I should be around as well and we'll probably stop by.

How about drinks starting at 6:00 p.m (or earlier)?

Would someone that lives in Chicago make the reservation?

Let's get a number of attendees and I'll be glad to do it if I remember to take my medication.


That's a joke...

I'm there for sure - can't pass up the opportunity to have The Chocolate Storm - one of my favorite desserts of any place on earth (and note my handle!)! One has to be rewarded for eating all those stir fried veggies!

And 6:00 (or earlier) is good for the Ginger Island Lemonade (does it sound like I like this place?).
