qantas upgrades
 

anyone able to get me upgraded from economy to business on a qantas flight from london to sydney next week?? i would be able to show my generous gratitude to anyone who could help me.

The only way you can upgrade on Qantas (QF):[list=1][*]Use 50,000 QF miles[*]Use 5 QF Upgrade Credits ("UC")s[*]Be the recipient of an operational upgrade - which may only happen if you're QF Platinum or Gold on a oversold flight[*]Pay $$$ for the fare differential[/list=a]

For you to be able to upgrade using (1) or (2) above, only you, or a close member of your family can use points or UCs to upgrade a ticket.

If QF catches someone using points or UCs outside the terms and conditions (especially buying/selling them for $$$ as you put it), they will act, including commencing action against you in an Australian jurisdiction. In short - don't bother.

Finally, please have a read of the Rules of FlyerTalk, especially in relation to activity with airline awards.

If you've got an hour or so spare, have a read of 1,000,000 Qantas miles on eBay.
