Airline Memorabilia Show

This Saturday at the museum of flite (spitting distance from scenic Georgetown, WA and the famous hat and boots) ... also not far from the excellenttaco trucks and taco bus in even more Scenic White Center (aka Rat City), WA ...

Anyone going? Just wonderin'

Perhaps slightly off-topic, but if anyone was intrigued by the thread topic line and can't make it to that show, there's a neat airline memorabilia shop at ORD. Take the tunnel to the airport Hilton; it's on your right opposite where you'd turn left to enter the hotel. (A great location for walk-ins who happen to be passing by for another reason, but not as well publicized as it should be otherwise.)

Great post Efrem. I have walked by that place zillions of times. They seem to close somewhat early though. I am usually walking by at 8pm or so. I did happen to go in once or twice and they had a great selection of models etc..

It is a good store... if you like paying $10 more for items than you should. You can get just about anything in there for cheaper over the internet (including shipping). Nice to browse, but I don't usually purchase... just take notes then go home and save money.

I've bought a few things at that shop. As an aside, is there usually a 40-ish, dark haired, kinda heavy set guy working there when you shop? I assume he's the proprietor.
On the morning of February 1st I was there and the guy was listening intently to the radio... it was then I learned of the Columbia disaster. The guy was so choked up he had to close up shop for a while to collect himself.

If anyone goes by that shop on a regular basis and wouldn't mind looking for a specific item, please let me know. Thanks.
