LAX 20 Aug?
 

I've got an emergency trip back east, with several hours stuck in LAX. Anybody around Wednesday afternoon? JetDillo isn't going so I'll be all by my lonesome with over three hours to kill.

I'm missing his Premier card already... haven't been able to fly enough to get anywhere with that myself. I'm dreading trying to get into New York this weekend as it is.

For what it's worth, I got the extra discount for booking online when United's reservation system imploded yesterday. And with three origin and five destination airport choices, I managed to find something that was only more than I would have liked to pay as opposed to highway robbery.

How timely! I was just getting ready to make a similar post. I'm flying home from Costa Rica through LAX that day and I currently have a brutal layover:

8/20 UA 888 SJO 900 LAX 1526
8/20 UA 1268 LAX 2020 SEA 2251

My initial thought was to hang out at Encounter for a few hours for dinner and a drinks. But if anyone else is going to be around and has a better plan, I'm game.

Cool! And you have an even worse layover than I do.

As for LAX, I've not seen any more than can be taken in by running from gate to gate, so I have no clue on what there is to see/do/eat/etc. If nothing else, dinner would certainly be better than sitting around by myself.

I'll send you an email. Maybe by then some more people will be around and we can turn it into a genuine party.

I arrive at LAX late on 20AUG. Arrival is at 10:30P on Continental Airlines.
