From "yes" to "maybe" for me.
Major project work in July and my 2nd on it (I'm lead) just informed me she will be doing her three weeks of MBA study abroad work that month.
I was going to go for nine/ten days... now I think I may explore revenue tickets for the weekend only and use that LH award sooner for another trip I have planned.

That makes it 36 definte participants + 18 undecided. (Most will once again stay at the Nikko)
I need (at least somewhat) accurate numbers of participants to make reservations for dinner at the fireworks (either @ radio tower or on board a boat) and for the excursion on saturday (we'd need a coach). So pleeeaaase let me know, how you have decided by mid april

GK, hope you can make it. Would love to imbibe champers with you again on Sunday afternoon. <g>
Bernie, I really hope you can get us into the radio tower for the fireworks show. I've seen pyrotechnics from the ground plenty of times (and a couple of times from an aircraft), but never from a radio tower!!!

Actually I was hoping for the boat as I have seen pyro displays from above and from the ground but never from a boat.

Well there is just only one boat left to charter. All others are already gone. I'd need to be decided by tomorrow afternoon -German time that is. (I'm somehow "disappointed" that even some of those being confirmed didn't reply to this thread or my email since three mo's ago. Makes planning kind of hard)
The radio tower has still space available. A six course dinner would be served in the revolving restaurant atop the tower.
Costs in either case would be quite the same.

I'll bring my laptop and digital camera, suitable for filing realtime trip reports repleat with visual proof of the festivities. Anyone know if WiFi is readily available in DUS and who the providers are?

Bernie, I'm afraid my status is going from maybe to probably not. With my new job, I most likely won't have enough vacation to be able to make it. I hope everyone has a fabulous time!

I vote for tower. Never seen fireworks from the air before.
