Fervor is now the venue that will replace the Saturday night Dinner slot left vacant - and this is a good choice because Fervor is a "surf & turf" type place that aside from an ample selection of dead-Cow, will also offer fish & Italian inspired options for those that want to go easy on more Beef.

That actually works quite well for me, as I'm trying to eat a somewhat healthier diet! Fervor looks amazing - I can't wait to try it! (We're talking Posadas 1519, Recoleta, right?)
That sounds right. It's on the street that has the tower entrance to the Park Hyatt, within a block or two of the hotel. The cross street might be the same as Sottovocce (spelling?). One year a group of us went there for dinner on Sunday. ADDED: Will we have a Hyatt herd this year? Anyone else staying at the Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau in Recoleta? |

Change in plans - please list me for both wine tasting and lunch on Friday.

I'm tempted as I am now in EZE, but need to see if Ms. JFKEZE allows me to have fun as we now have a JFKEZE Jr :D

Just do it, or find a baby sitter for Jr and bring Ms along too. |

OK, so I will put you down for Lunch on Friday and tentative for the Wine Tasting. All in for the events on Monday. What about Saturday...?
Im going to be introducing a couple of changes to the schedule, the Friday Lunch will be held at the same venue as the Wine Tasting, so please let me know as soon as you can if your +1 will want to do the wine tasting. With a 0550 AM flight she will be at the Hotel at 0800-ish so there should be plenty of time to freshen up and make it to the 1100AM tasting. Thanks. Just to circle back, we are good to go for Friday lunch, but won't be able to make Friday's Wine Tasting... Looking forward to all events on Monday too! Very jealous of Saturday's schedule of events, since both Sotto Voce and Fervor are personal favorites, but family duties come first. See y'all soon! Mike |
Hi !! Please liaise with the higher-authorities and get back to us as soon as possible.... :D
Thanks, Alex (Gaucho100K)

Hey everyone. I just saw the post about this event and am tempted to fly down.
For those of you who want to stay at Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau at a highly-discounted rate, the "opaque" listing on Hotwire.com (look for a No-name 5-star with 2,460 TripAdvisor reviews) is indeed (ok, 99.9999% likely to be....) the Park Hyatt, for an incredible $200 US / night! Remember that this is a non-refundable rate. You won't earn points, get upgrades or meals, but it's an absolutely stunning price. Just stunning. That alone may bring me down. |

I wanted to follow up about Sunday, because a poster suggested a while back that there might be an informal get-together that day. Is that still happening? I plan to sleep until whatever hour I happen to get up but don't have any particular plans for the day.
Thanks! |

There's also a third night free nonrefundable offer on the Hyatt website, which can apparently be used consecutively, so stay four nights and get two free. It seems to apply to all available room and suite categories and the rate for the two nights is their regular standard (refundable) rate. It's a pretty decent deal if you want to get WOH night credits and elite benefits. |
This is the most food-centric DO I've been to. I think all my free time will be on a treadmill.

Why do you think it's called COW DO? |

Folks... please note that Monday's Charity Wine Tasting has had a change of Venue.
We have had to change the location from the 1828 Smart Hotel to Somos Asado. Timing remains unchanged, 1100AM start time, we will then transition into lunch at Trattoria Olivetti. This change is now reflected in the schedule of events on the 1st page of this Master Thread. Organizational issues aside, I think that this is also a great chance for those that cannot join us for the Friday WT and Lunch to get to know Gustavo's place, which is IMO one of the best kept culinary secrets of Buenos Aires. |
Please review Event Attendance (once again)
Once again, I kindly ask everybody to check below and see if I have correctly reflected your event attendance for each our our scheduled activities. If Ive goofed somewhere - kindly post here and/or send me a PM. If Ive managed to get your plans right, then please be so kind as to confirm this so I can finalize the check-list and re-confirm the headcount with the different venues.

Alex,
Confirmed as posted in #139 . Capitalizing the 3rd letter in Cyborg makes me an evil Star Trek creature pitching for a Major League Baseball award. Cheers, Cyborg |
Hello Gaucho100K,

Yes, confirmed and already did OLCI for flights and hotel.

I'm tentatively planning to skip lunch on Monday and I might also skip lunch on Saturday as it tends to be too much food. Otherwise I'm in for everything, including both dinners, both tastings, and lunch after the first tasting. |

Not wanting to be difficult, but the tentatively play is going to be complicated. Depending on how much goodwill I can get from the Restaurants, those on the tentative team may end up being "stand by" at the table. This will of course not happen at a place like Somos Asado, but cant say the same for some of the other establishments.

I just bought my ticket! Took advantage of Delta's half-price SkyMiles promotion for Delta Vacations.
I apologize for the late inquiry. If available, I would like to join - Saturday night dinner at Fervor - Monday's wine tasting / lunch If there isn't space at one of those events, completely understood. Let me know what else i need to do, and thank you for all your efforts in pulling this together. Stephen |
confirmed
Stephen, Welcome Aboard. You are confirmed for the events you have requested. cheers!! |
Thanks to all that have reconfirmed so far. Friendly reminder to the rest that still have to reconfirm. Thanks !!!

Folks, all reservations have been reconfirmed.
Tables are booked to FLYERTALK - Maria Florencia. Please do not panic if you are early and FlyingCow hasn't arrived, the FlyerTalk name is always confusing and it sometimes get lost in the Paperwork. Please note that La Cabrera is La Cabrera Norte - and the dinner time has been updated to 2030hrs (they open at that time). For La Cabrera, I have had to to a small deposit of AR$2800 in Cash, which needs to be deducted from the Final Tab. FlyingCow will be in charge of the Administrative details at all events where I will not be available. Please, I urge all participants to assist with making things smooth so please remember a few tips.... a) be on time... b) please have cash in hand to settle payments.... c) remember to smile a lot and be ready to be patient. This is a bit of a "strange" Do for me since I will be out of Town from Friday afternoon to Sunday night - parenting/soccer-dad related duties, will explain details when we all meet... :D Look forward to the other reconfirmations that are pending, Im still working on a few final details and will continue to post information here. Please check back to this thread frequently. It would be great to hear from those as they start their journeys, and also do check in and post once you have arrived. Cheers from EZE, the countdown has started..... :D ^ Alex / Gaucho100K |
I'm here.....and money has been exchanged, at a rate of 55 per dollar. |

About to start packing amidst a pseudo-heatwave in Scandi and looking forward to another great long weekend of lots of cow and lots of wine :) I second Alex’s recommendation about having cash (ARS) handy. Please make sure to get some pesos since it will make life easier for everyone, and tips are cash only. For any events where Alex won’t be able to make it, as he mentioned, I’ll be there acting as the ‘local’ :D |

Eyeing this for Sunday morning:
El ISATC en la Sala Principal 05 | Teatro Colón Didn't see a way to buy tickets in advance (I found a box office link but this event isn't listed) -- maybe it's free? -- anyway was just going to show up and see what the deal is :) |

If so, it might be a free performance, but I'm just guessing. If I have a chance, I'll try asking my hotel concierge. |
Soooo.... who else is already here.....? |

OUCH. I hope it doesn't get worse. That would mean getting here late afternoon? I hope that the MX cause means that AA is giving you a decent hotel for the (short) night. |
