Back at the Drake.

YES, I know it is the Monday after the vodka thingy and YES, I know everyone will still be nursing Russian-sized hangovers and YES, I know I am being predictable with my midweekers at the Drake, BUT:

If anyone is interested in dinner/drinks (either at the Drake or anywhere in Chicagoland), I'll be free around 6:30 or 7...

If the asbestos lobby is picking up the tab again then I'm in.
If not, then, well I'm still in.

Well, I am staying at the Drake and coming from a reception at One East Erie. But as I say, I am happy to meet up just about anywhere a taxi will take me...

I like Hugo's Frog Bar, somewhere between the two, but that's just a suggestion!!!

I have tentative plans on Monday evening, but they may fall through. Won't know until I get into ORD, around 6:30pm. I also am interested in finding out where the group will gather.

Oh no. Koko and and auh2o will be in the same city on a school night. DOH!

Uh oh. Can I be so presumptuous as to suggest gathering at the cigar bar in the basement of the Drake? I think it's called Cote D'Or or Coq D'Or and frankly I may be the only person in the world who calls it 'the cigar bar.'

I should be there by 6:30 or 7. Wearing a yellow shirt and red tie...

Hugos and a bunch of other good places are just around the corner.

How late do you think you will be in the "Cigar Bar", before you head off to dinner?

I'll be at the Coq bar around 7 with all the other coqs.

I'm definitely interested in coming along. Do we know where dinner is going to be yet?

I would like to partake this evening but it looks like I am stuck at work for a few more hours.

Who give a **** about John Cusack?

So after a hard day of bored meeting I met up with a bunch of FTers for a sausage party at the Coq. Special guests Craigsexy and Goldvasser. There will be a photo eventually.

Then Hugos Frog Bar for some sucking on Frog balls and Amstels.

Then we saw John Cusack at a bar called Marvin B's across the street from the trusty Big Bowl. But the beer was literally so bad that we had to leave.

It being Monday night we thought we were SOL, but then we went to Buzz. It was Service employee night. Wow. A bartendress-by-trade-but-off-that-night-out-having-fun I was talking to said that Cusack always hangs out at Chicago Bars and our sighting was acutally quite passe. She prediceted correctly that he was wearing a ball cap backward and chain smoking. She was hot so I didnt argue but simply Pollyanna'd: Who gives a **** about John Cusack?
