Is there a difference between Airlines?

This question may have been asked before, but I was just wondering as most surveys relate to Business/First Class, which is sortof irrelevant for me.

American has some more room, but aside from that, is there any difference between the airlines? Are any of them truly "better" or "worse"? In my experience, they all seem about the same - food varies, fa's can be charming or surly, etc...

I'm about to use up all my miles on both AA and UA, so I'm thinking about where to focus in the future. BTW, I live in L.A.

Thanks

Manku

You'll get better replies if you post this question in a more appropriate forum. This one is primarily for community activities such as opportunities to meet other FT'ers.

If you're interested in the non-mileage aspects of the airlines, try TravelBuzz. About comparisons of their frequent flyer programs, try MilesBuzz. And if you want to compare AA and UA, each of them has a forum too.

It's always a good idea to read several of the posts in a forum to develop a sense of what they're about before posting in it. That applies to all bulletin board systems, not just FT.
