COMDEX get-together
 

Just curious if any of the FTers out there are attending COMDEX this fall in Las Vegas, if so, would anyone be up for FT get together out there

yeah .. I'm going by accident .. I was going out for vacation and then when I looked to see what was going on that week I saw that vacation and COMDEX coincided, so I figured I'd knock out two birds with one trip

I'll be there from 11/15-11/19. I posted my flights in the Itinerary folder.

just happy to say that for the first time in 6 years I wont be there. i won t be working, visiting oranything in vegas for quite some time. Will miss the evening sojourn to the adultex expo though http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

This will be my first trip to Vegas and first to Comdex. I'm really looking forward to it. Name a place to meet on Monday and we can try and make it. That is the only day I will be going to the show so somewhere nearby would work.

I'll be there on Friday, November 22.. I just got 'lucky' and had my semi-annual Vegas trip overlap with the tail end of Comdex..

There's a bunch of good restaraunts .. any particular type of food, price range, location you and you're boyfriend are looking at

There's also a nice restaraunt .. name slips me .. at Treasure Island that's pretty good. If you wanted to just meet for cocktails Gordon Biersch Brewpub on either Koval or Paradise near the convention center thats supposed to be a pretty nice place.

Well it turns out I am in need of an HK RUN so I am vegas bound for a "cat-me-oh" (Cameo) visit:

Arrive late afternoon on the 19th.
Depart around 8pm on the 20th

I was thinking of going back to the Circus Circus steakhouse for a change or joining anyone who is doing anything on the 19th or the afternoon of the 20th.

There is the problem with Vegas.. too many good places to eat.

I'll be heading back to Baltimore on the 19th. Right now my flight is scheduled to leave around 1pm and I could possibly change that in order to hang around for a drink or two but I have to be at work Wednesday morning.

It looks like I will only be available for socilaizing late Saturday evening, most of the day Sunday, and Monday evening.

After narrowing through the many choices.. How about the Monte Carlo Pub and Brewery, located inside the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino. From what I hear from reliable sources the beer and the food are both excellent. How about Sunday the 17th .. I don't think I have much of anything planned that day. Anytime afternoon/evening works for me.

Bill Gates keynote is at 7pm

Perhaps the idea might be drinks before hand?

Yeah, he's one of the last guys I'd want to listen to sober.

Sunday, 4PM, Drinks @ Monte Carlo Pub and Brewery

Also, Bill Gates does speak at 7PM. Please note that tickets are required for this keynote. My understanding is that you can get tickets starting at 10am at the Mirage Events Center.

That being said, although I won't make it to Bill's speech, I'm looking forward to meeting y'all for drinks at 4.

Try Delmonico's Steakhouse at the Venetian. Its Emeril Lagasse's Steakhouse and has some of the finest beef I've had anywhere.

Ask for Tom Baker, he'll take good care of you.

Same here. I got there a little late but asked all the bartenders and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Oh well, maybe next time.

I was there and mentioned it to the bartenders but got the same response as DMFriedman..
