SIN Nov. 24th get-together
 

There are a number of NW FT'ers who took advantage of the sub$400 fare to SIN.

We are trying to drum up support for a mini get-together on November 24th. Nothing is official yet but the first suggestion was evening cocktails, maybe at the Long Bar. This is my first trip to SIN, so i don't know too much about other "local" hang outs. I am open to suggestions and/or alternatives. Please post here if you might be interested in participating and/or have a suggestion.

I'll sign up first. I'll be there Saturday-Monday morning. I'll be by myself, so anyone looking for a sightseeing partner, let me know.

My suggestion would be the bar in the Westin Stamford Hotel (next to the Raffles Hotel on Stamford Road). In the 70th (well, +/-) story there is a restaurant and bar which used to be called Compass Rose (but the name changed). There is a restaurant on one story and the bar half a story higher. The restaurant has a wonderful view towards Singapore River and the harbour. One of the best views in SIN in my opinion. The bar "looks" a liitle bit more westwards and the view is still nice (spectacular, but not as good as in the restaurant).

Anybody interested in a meeting on Saturday evening?

Unfortunately, EnhancedbyCO and I do not get in until 1230am Sunday morning, so we will not be in town until at least 1 or 130, so i don't think it will be possible for us to do anything Saturday night. Thanks for the suggestions though. maybe some other FT'ers who are there on Saturday can join you.
