Congrats! And thanks, 777Brit, for the informative posts.

Marriage can involve alot of work and effort at times to keep it going, but the rewards are definitely more than worth the effort. Good luck in your new phase in life.

777Brit Nov 2, 2002 12:55 am

Thank you each and every one of you for your kind words of congratulations and kindess. Are any of you actually able to make it to Las Vegas next Saturday?

Cheers, 777Brit and Trooper J

I have had the pleasure of meeting the two "luvs" at a FT dinner at SIAM restaurant last month. They are a great couple and have a great future. Oh how I wish I could be in Vegas next weekend!!

SFOJFK Nov 2, 2002 6:58 am

Sorry 777Brit. I'm getting married on the same day in PHL. I was in LAS last weekend for a party. Congratulations and have a prosperous life together.

I knew this was the wrong weekend to go out of town. I live in LAS, and would have loved to attend to wish you well in person.

That being said, I get home on the evening of the 10th, so since it looks like you may still be around for a couple days, I'd love to take the newlyweds out for a drink the evening of the 11th if you're free. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Too bad you could not have held out until the week of COMDEX - probably would have had quite a few more FT'ers in Vegas then!

Be sure and tell us when you post the pictures.

Congratulations and best wishes!

I want to offer the happy couple as many congratulations as would equal the total of all of our frequent flier miles combined.

And I want to remind you in particular, our British buddy, of the wisdom of the poet Ogden Nash. His relevant rhyme is repeated below.

ADVICE TO THE BRIDEGROOM
To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the wedding cup
Whenever you're wrong, admit it
Whenever you're right, shut up

777Brit,

I wish I could be doing what you and Trooper J are doing right now. My schedule until zero hour is ridiculous. Boy, I wish she had agreed to LAS.

At least I talked her into doing an anniversary in LAS at once. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Wow!

Still so surprised and delighted about you two http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Along with another family party, I have a 50th Anniversary family Brunch to attend this weekend, so I have already given my deep regrets to the lovebirds.

Yeah, it's family, and also I figure I better go the 50th Anniversary party as you just don't get invited to too many of those.

In 50 years, my wish is that you two make it back to Vegas for yours http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Dave, a little less than 2 hours before the first-ever Flyer Talk wedding. Hope you're not getting cold feet. Congratulations to you both. May you have a long and happy life together.

sawsmanfc Nov 9, 2002 2:22 pm

Let us add our congratulations along with everyone else.
BTW, who gets the miles??

Delta141 Nov 10, 2002 12:32 am

Congrats! Best wishes!

PremEx Nov 10, 2002 11:49 am

I bare witness to the fact that nobody got cold feet and the wedding went off without a hitch.

A very nice service and it was great to finally meet Brit777 and his charming new bride Trooper J, and their friends and family.

I had a great time and felt very welcomed, especially by Trooper J's mom and dad, who I spent the most time with as we both arrived early to the chappel, and then drove together with to the MGM to set up the Old Glory's and Union Jack's before the arrival of the newly married couple at the post wedding dinner. Pop and I had lots to talk about as he just retired from The Disney Channel and we both knew many of the same people. Small World!

Got a great photo of the bride and groom fully decked out in tails and gown, both yacking on their cell phones. It's on Brit's camera though, so yur just gonna hafta wait.

Congrats and Best Wishes to both! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

777Brit Nov 10, 2002 11:12 pm

It's true! 777Brit and Trooper J are now Mr and Mrs 777Brit!

Our new FlyerTalk friend, PremEx came to be a witness for all FlyerTalker's, to prove we actually did get married! PremEx, it was great to finally meet you, thank you so much for coming and we both hope you made your flight home in time.

Pictures are being 'edited for all audiences' and will be available online soon.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Thanks again for all your best wishes,

Mr and Mrs 777Brit
