how do i look up someone's profile ?

how do i find another board member's email address? is there a profile directory on here?

Just click their "Mail" symbol.

Of course, some folks don't show their e-mail (especially newbies) and in that case you can't contact them.

Once they have been around a while, you will find that the more sophisticated users develop a high degree of trust and eventually post an e-mail address--even if it is a hotmail account.

While I agree that the majority of users have a posted e-mail address, to imply that those who choose not to are somehow less sophisticated is a bit conceited, IMHO.

IMHO the more sophisticated users end up removing their email to stop receiving spam and other kinds of email...

My e-mail address has been listed here for nearly three years and I don't think that I have ever been spammed from this source.

I have always had my email address posted and I have always been sophisticated.
Guess punki thought they went hand in hand after meeting me.

Funny, my E-mail address has always been available in my profile, and nobody would ever confuse ME with someone sophisticated.

I'm from Brooklyn originally, and anyone who has met me at a flyertalker event knows that this poster is far from a 'fist a get'. (with remorse to arturo on the spelling http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif)

Dan

<<<can't spell either. (EDIT)

Welcome to FT Froggy.

I realize that you're new here, but just a gentle reminder that this forum is for posting get-togethers rather asking about general info. Thanks.

A minor clarification: that will get their e-mail address, but not their profile - which, if they chose to fill in all the fields, contains more than the e-mail address. For the full profile, click on the card index symbol just to the left of the "mail" (envelope) symbol.

Froggy you don't have your email address in your profile. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
