I personally know of two, and that is just who I know of, so there must be lots of FTers who did.

One was partnered with her sister and the other with his dad.

Neither team got picked, but one of the FTer's, who sent in a tape, had a friend, who also sent in a tape, who made it to another round of eliminations before being zapped from the competition.

It seems tough, tough, tough. Gosh only knows what the criteria is, but I sure enjoyed the side story of the finishers of the last one that was on TV.

They probably like people who have alot of emotional baggage, or some kind of character or personality quirks, as much as travel ability, to make for good TV.

I noticed there were "pairing" similarities between the two shows. In each show there was an elderly couple for the, "Oh, isn't it great how they love each other?"

There was a couple-trying-to-reconcile team, there was a "best buddies" team, etc.

So if you want to make the show, your best bet is to fit neatly into the character-boxes they've created.

I would love to do the show, but it'd be too long for both my wife and I to be away from the kids.

I have to admit I did too. Maybe it is me rooting for the underdog, but I kinda felt sorry for Wil. It sorta looked like Tara gave up so that her "boyfriends" could win. That way she could always hook up with them afterwards and get back at Wil by loosing at the same time.

Arriving at SMF in the finale and trying to hail a cab was a riot. I've done that before...waiting on the little island.
