This sounds like my sort of party. Certainly more exciting than Denver is right now. I thought Dulles was an eternity out of town ... I think DIA beats it hands down. Catch everyone in 24 hours.

Of note:

I took the 5A on Tuesday morning from Dulles... the driver joyfully left about 5 minutes early. :rolleyes; So, it's in your better interest to get to the stop a little early.

Know that M-F generally buses leave from IAD and from L'Enfant Plaza roughly on the half hour, from 5:30am to 10:30pm from DC to IAD, and from 6:30 (First bus is 6:28am) to 11:30pm from IAD to DC. But, verify the schedule at http://www.wmata.com/timetables/dc/5a.pdf
because on Saturday and Sunday there are major holes in the schedule, including gaps in service from IAD to DC from 12:30pm to 2:00pm and from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, and from DC to IAD from 11:35am to 1:05pm and from 4:05pm to 6:35pm.

Thanks for that info Viajero. We are doing battle with Denver public transport today, so IAD will be a cinch after coping with that! See you folks tonight.

Just a few final notes for you. Head on up to the upstairs part of the bar and we will be there. I've reserved the upper part of the bar for us.

If there is someone working the door, just tell them that you are there for the private party upstairs.

There will definitely be Foster's there, so Oz should feel right at home.

Joh, sorry to hear about your Denver troubles. From what I remember, transit service to DIA funneled via the Stapleton Airport Transit Center--- the area and the parking structure are kinda creepy now that the terminal is closed.

By now you're probably on your way......

Slight mess up here.

Got to DIA 46 mins before flight. 2 mins on 1k line, and agent says "you are 44 mins to flight - we cannot accept you if you checked bags - must be 45 mins at least".

Ask for gate supervisor who arrives. She agrees. Darn. What nonsense. Next flight to IAD leaves 2.45pm arriving 8.05pm. So, to make sure we make the party we wil forego our 2 dollar bus ride, for a $60 cab ride right to the bar which right now is is $4687 Australian dollars.
