just curious if there are any FTers who are attending this event in San Diego this weekend? i know it draws a big audience from around the world.

considered flying down for this, but i'm gonna need a car to get around.

Darn, wish I would have known about it. Would have loved to have gone. Need to eventually get rid of some of my inventory over the past uhm... years.

Well not personally attending, but got a call from my teen sons a little while ago and they're down there waiting in line to get in. They'll be the college kids in t-shirts and baggy shorts. (What do you mean that describes 80% of the attendees?!)

Anyway, have a good time!

I flew to SAN from LAX on an AA puddlejumper this afternoon. Gene Simmons of KISS was on my flight; looked like he was headed to Comic Con (based on the handlers meeting him). OK, enlighten me - what the heck does Gene Simmons have to do with comics?

There is currently a KISS comic book. There were also KISS comics in the 1970's, and I believe they showed up in an issue of HOWARD THE DUCK.
