Slight preference for the 11th. I have another event on the potential list for the 4th and it'd be good to get back to LEX.

HPN-HRL pointed out that the second Keeneland weekend starting 10/11 would include the Monday holiday of Columbus Day.

Might make it less stressful for everyone to get home.

Thank again for organizing everything, Win! Another great LEX DO is in the books.

My preference for the Fall DO would be the weekend of 10/4.

Same here. Weekend of 10/4 gets my vote. First weekend of the fall meet is generally a better slate of stakes races (Breeders Cup preps). Possibly warmer weather too.

Thinking back to a conversation one night at dinner talking about airline yield management strategies for home game weekends in college markets, I should point out that the Wildcats are on a bye week 10/4. October 12 they are at home vs. Arkansas. So, just in case the second weekend is chosen, I'd suggest making cancelable/refundable hotel reservations now.

UK football: not irrelevant anymore!

Weekend of 10/4 is more likely for me as well.

Win, thanks for everything: met several new friends and had a great time. It was particularly nice seeing your parents and we owe a huge thanks to your brother for all he did,

There's also this in Dayton on Oct 5:

Festival of Flight ? Celebrate aviation in the Miami Valley

Whether that suggests for or against that weekend for LEX DO I don't know
