And anyone enjoying the great food at Cite will probably expand as well.

I'm at about 90% at the moment -- but I'm going to have to drive... is there somewhere to park nearby (forgive me, I'm a native New Yorker, but it has been a Loooong time since I've been in Manhattan -- and longer since I've been there with a car)?

If I am thinking about the correct Cite, then it is located at 120 W. 51st Street - between 6th and 7th Aves. Because this is so close to all the theatres there is lots of parking nearby.

If you don't mind walking a few blocks, and want to save a few $$$, I typically use a self park garage on 8th Ave between 53rd and 54th (it's just next door to Studio 54). If you come in just for dinner it should run $10-15. Some of the other garages closer to 6th Ave. can cost up to $55 for only a few hours.

I look forward to meeting everyone !

opus17 - 767-322ETOPS is right about the cheapest parking lot, but there is another option that is even cheaper. At least one side of the block that Cite is on becomes legal at 6PM, and then you only need to buy a ticket at $1 an hour to put on your dashboard. If that street is full, you can explore the adjacent streets, most of which have the same parking regs. You need to arrive about 20 minutes early in order to get a space and don't expect to find any if you're much later than that. Don't forget to bring lots of quarters.

Edited to remind opus17 to stay with his car until 6PM in case one of the parking nazis is in the area (a warning that is probably unnecessary now that I recall opus17 having mentioned that he's a native New Yorker).

Most unfortunately, a schedule conflict will not allow me to attend.

767: You are correct on Cite's location. Thanks everyone for helping OPUS with his parking questions. I can't: Taking PATH train to subway to get there.

Maybe brother Larry U will be there to sing us a new song.

I am looking to expand the guest list to 12. That means we'll have a DO.. BUT THIS IS **NOT** A CATMAN DO 4

Let's met in the area near the bar right before 7p. but the prices of the courses are decent.

See you all wednesday.

I'm just a writer, not a singer. That's RichG's talent; what a shame that he can't make it this time!

And I haven't writen anything for a while. But you never know, especially if I have enough to drink when I fly in to JFK on Tuesday. My last effort was a few month's ago:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">
O beautiful for vacant skies

O beautiful for vacant skies,
on towards the fast track lane
for screeners mounting travesties
and on the empty plane!
America! America!
Please stop this lunacy
Don't crown thy good with ineptitude
at gate and security

O rubber-glove clad screeners proved
They can liberate a knife,
tweezers, corkscrews, clippers too
even groping this man's wife!
Swing in the air, your underwear
God mend thine airport door,
confirm thy soul in gate-control,
yield thy freedom to the law.

O beautiful for pilot's dream
to have no one on their plane
flyers frozen motionless
afraid to board the plane again!
America! America!
God shed his gates to thee,
Don't crown thy good with ineptitude
at gate and security

With thanks to Katherine Lee Bates</font>

I will be there, too. (This will require putting off my packing for a 2-week trip until the very last day, but it's worth it!)
