Job search...
Like so many on this board, I would love to work in a job which allowed me to use my travel industry knowledge for good instead of evil. Realising that there are quite a few people on this board who do work in the travel industry, I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction for a career change.
I'm currently a management consultant for an IT integration house, having trained at KPMG before moving. KPMG used to have a travel, leisure and tourism group within their management consultancy -- this group was business-focused, not operations-focused, and in many ways was the ideal sort of environment for someone with my skills as a career move. Sadly, KPMG decided about three years ago to pull out of the TLT market and disbanded the group. Where else might I find consulting groups that offer TLT companies business advice? Do any of the big five still retain TLT groups? Are there niche players who still retain a business focus, or are the specialists more technical/operational in practice? And most importantly, what do the job prospects in this sector look like? [This message has been edited by MatthewClement (edited 05-23-2002).] |
It's all a lie. KPMG apparently haven't disbanded their TLT Consulting division -- here's the groups webpage. I'd be interested in where else I could find opportunities like this, though.

What a good idea to create a thread connected with job search. In case a company is looking for a teacher of French as a foreign language for its teams (or even an airline company whishing to train its FAs...), you can find infos on my home page... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I thought Coopers (OK, now PriceWaterhouse Coopers) had a TLT practice. But of course since I still think of them as Coopers, my information may be out of date too.

I worked in consulting for Price Waterhouse and we had a practice, which I believe it considered the best. I believe the contact is in Manhattan on Avenue of the Americas.

I understand that Radisson/GoldPoints is in need of some management consulting. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
