"Brooklyn Reality Tour!"
You could talk me into a repeat of a sellout!
But it will never be the same next year, with a new cast of characters.

Magic, AnnaS,Tropical flyer, Tolarian Wind,
Tom911, newself, and that guy who drove.

C'mon koko, when was the last time you remembered anything from a FT gathering?

Fortunately, some of us have pictures to help jog your memory!

Catman: accrording to reports, I took shots of everything, too. Shots of tequila, shots of vodka, etc....

That's the problem.

Koko, as a journalist (who was sober during this encounter) I can CONFIRM those reports!

But I suppose many of us have been in those situations.

You be careful KOKO. I want you around for the next big event I plan (or when you and your bestest buddy, pal, chum, brother for life as you told me, Geo1004, plan soem D-C thing to get me down for an evening.)

Found a good line on the Marriott forum...discussion about checking into a hotel without even staying there, just to get a stay credit.

Someone's post described this as taking a "mattress run."

Fond memories of the PIPP/Omni awards with Jailer tackling a cocktail waitress and the tray of Martini's sailing away...

For me, all the great quotes are lost in an alcoholic haze, yet many are thankfully preserved here for future generations who have the fortitude to scan through all our loony old posts.

Technically speaking, Stimpo, a left hook is not a quote. The waitress saying, “you’ll be hearing from my attorney”, is, however, a quote.

Keeping on-topic: Although I have had a number of one-liner belly laughs, what stands out is in relation to when Spartacus joined the Board and someone (I forget who) envisioned Spartacus being called out of line at check-in and then every other flyer saying, “No, I’m Spartacus...I’m Spartacus”.

Are you kidding? Most memorable was arriving at the Top of the Mark in SF (9/99)to meet Rudi for the first time - seeing him in his full Swiss regalia persuaded us that we HAD to go to the PIP! And we did! What a joyful time that was! From vying for room upgrades at the HHV to "awards" night... Thanks, Randy, for making the PIP one of a kind!

My favorite and most touching is the way the whole FT community stood behind RDURES1 during her problems earlier this year. Never have I seen such loyalty among such a diverse group..and the amazing thing was that it wasn't only the AA members. That speaks amazingly well of the caliber of people Randy has brought together with his creation of this board.

Although she can no longer post, I know she lurks and is extremely greatful.

This is a good one. I also like it when Quiet Lion makes reference to his "seat opponent."

OK, I'll bite. When Mrs. Kid and I flew into ORD (boy were our arms tired?) a little over an hour late last Dec due to *major* weather problems, we found bbinchi waiting at arrivals. He had even guaranteed us a room for the night (as almost every connecting flight but ours was cancelled) and seats on the first AM flight.

I don't remember the quote exactly, but I seem to recall an understated "So, you got in okay!" or some such....

Best wishes wherever you touch ground, bbin???! We'll think of you at next week's Tokyo get-together!
