Here back in PDX.
Just flew back from HNL yesterday (Saturday) morning.
Left HNL on AA 298 (redeye) into LAX and than AS 411 back to PDX.
AA 298 left almost an hour late with a full load.
AS 411 was on-time with only about 40 passengers.

Scheduled to fly from PHX to ATL on 9/11 - stuck for 5 days in Phoenix.
Could somebody strap me to the front of a crappy old plane loaded with nothing but fuel and point me in the direction of something these people hold dear? (a 110 story goat stable full of unused shaving products, perhaps?) Maybe the U.S. needs a few fanatics who are willing to die to let the other 270 million people go back to the way it used to be before 9/11/01.

Flew in on Saturday and it broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes when we took the Southern approach to LGA and saw the smoke clouds coming from the WTC site.
However there was a lady standing tall in the harbor that is a strong reminder about who we are and what this country stands for, the Statue of Liberty.
God Bless America!

I tried to post last week but kept getting an error message. Alive and well in Chicago.
On the day of the disaster, as I'm sure others have posted, downtown Chicago quickly (more or less) became a ghost town. Contrast that with Friday, when tens of thousands came together at the Daley Plaza and other locations for a memorial service.

[oops - several duplicate posts. Sorry about that. I kept getting error messages, and the next time I went to the page the post wasn't there, so of course I assumed that it didn't take. It must have still been circulating somewhere in cyberspace.]
