Another couple of places to meet are the Outback Steakhouse which is next to the Doubletree Suites or try the Claim Jumper on S 180th and Southcenter Blvd. This place serves huge portions. The only downside is waiting in line to get in. No line to get into the bar though and they serve their menu there. Might be tuff to find a seat on Saturday Night.

The Rainforext Cafe always seems to have lines. I would suggest, Winners ( just down the street) Outback, Claimjumper, or Monterey Bay Canery (across from claimjumper). Azteca would be the only bad choice since it's Cinco de Mayo.

Jimi Hendrix is buried only about 15 minutes from the Double Tree, don't forget to pay your respects. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cool.gif

I realize that some of you have objected to the choice of the Rainforest. Although I trust the oppinions of those of you that know Seattle better than I do, it would be too complicated to try and change the meeting place now, and make sure that everyone knows about the change. As I've said before, we don't have to stay there long if we don't like it.

So the plan is set to meet at 6:30pm, May 5th at the bar in the Rainforest Cafe. We will be there until at least 7pm, at which point we will possibly relocate to a better place.

Hope to see a lot of you there.

Sounds like a plan. Meet at RainForest 630-700pm in the bar area. At that time, it should not be too crowded but it will interesting trying to find out who is with FlyerTalk. Whoever gets there first, display FT luggage tags in a visable place or anything else so that we can recognize each other. Thanks again to srodr for getting this meeting started.

I just got electronic upgrade notification and am off to the airport on my my to SEA tonight. See you tomorrow night. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cool.gif

Thanks to all those who could make it. It is always nice to meet new FT members but it was a greater joy to meet those I had met before in their own town. As much as they know their way around the world, they have been the best of hosts to the cities I travel to.

srodr, thanks for starting the thread. You are well on your way to CO Gold. Stephen Loves Starwood, I admire your insight and you have me seriously considering dusting off Starwood card again (once I reach the 50k promo on Hilton of course http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif) Punki, great to see you again and also great choice on the Mac and Jack beer. When are we planning a meeting in Vegas?!? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
It was great to SEA everyone. I leave a city I had only been to once and only knew one person and it is a city I feel at home in. Signing off from the SEA Admirals Club, happy flying to all, and to all a good night.

Hey, thank you worldbanker for coming and bringing your friends and your lovely bride. I am only sorry that I was so far away from you at dinner and didn't get much chance to talk.

It is always delightful to share an evening with sophisticated FT friends from all around the world. Thanks to all who attended.

Thanks to all for an enjoyable time.

It was great to be able to match names to faces and to get to meet fellow travel addicts (I of course use addict in the most loving way http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ).

worldbanker,
I'll see what other analysis I can dig up for you concerning Starwood vs. others

srodr,
It was a blast. When you start doubting your sanity of doing these mileage runs just remember the great lookers on our IAH-EWR segment http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Looking forward to future craziness.
Ciao for now.

Thanks everyone who came out on Saturday night. It was really interesting to meet my first fellow FT's in person.

Thank you Punki for the T-shirt, and for the ride back to our hotel. It was very much appreciated, especially since we had no idea where we were.

Worldbanker, it was nice to meet you and your wife. Now that I see that we have some similar ties to Spain, maybe we will meet up on a future Spain run.

Stephen Loves Starwood, there certainly were some good views on the flights back. Maybe next week you will actually get to see Seattle.

I hope to see all of you again in the future, and meet some more FT's as well.
