Many of us are going to Hong Kong in next few months, and while a bunch of the itineraries are listed in the CO forum and a few in the Itineraries forum, I thought it would be a good idea to post them here, also, so there would be a central place for those who want to get together. There are already plans afoot for some of us to meet on Sunday, March 11th (see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum95/HTML/000891.html ) for info.

This is only my second post to the boards, but I've been reading for awhile. Any tips would be great. I'm doing EWR-HGK 3/11 to 3/16. I'm making a little trip out of it, along with my finacee. We're going coach, unless an upgrade comes my way, but I doubt it. (I'm a lowly silver). Given I'm (we're)on a serious budget we plan to be as frugal as possible. Any suggestions? We hope to also head over to Macau for a day or night.

For what it is worth..I have stayed a few times at The Fortunate Guest House (Chung King Mansion) 'A' Block, 11th floor
A2 40 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong TEL 2366 5900 Ask for Miss Alice or Mr. Lee The rooms are basic, but are safe, clean, AC and cable TV for about $30 U.S./night

I'm going with the wifester and two daughters (4 yrs and 4 months) EWR-HKG on the 12th/ rtn the 19th. Has anyone done one of these marathon flights with children before? Am I getting in over my head or is it doable?

Staying at the Sheraton. Found a deal that was mentioned on the CO FF board http://www.pacificdelighttours.com/s...leidoscope.htm Air from IAH with 6 nights in Sheraton for $830 pp (including 4 yr old) $2600 total. Not a bad deal considering we're getting enough miles for three rt tickets to Europe out of it.
