San Antonio Nov 4-6

Punki has been whupping my butt to plan a new FT get-together so here it is. Hunnybear and I will be staying at the fabulous Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio the weekend of Nov. 4-6 (Saturday and Sunday nights). We plan to stroll the Riverwalk, eat and drink, and hopefully enjoy your company.

Possible scheduled event: dinner at Little Rhein steakhouse.

Airfare is currently $209-$227 from many cities.

Who's in?

San Antonio in November. It does sound tempting. I will hopefully be free for that weekend and would like to meet more flyertalkers. Although I definitely will not be staying at the 4 points.

Currently the UA fare prices out to about 700 bucks! OUCH!

But CO prices out to half the price. I may have to take them -- but ooh my cat vibes are saying "go see Hunnybear and Mr. Lion."

SO Let me do some more thinking!! This sounds cool (and I can recommend the Little Rein!

I just priced a $477 fare NYC-SAT Sat-Mon, Catman. From LA it's half that.

Count me in, guys... while I no longer live in San Antone, it's not too hard to snag relatively cheap airfare from either TUL (where I work) or DAL/DFW (where I live).

If dinner would be SAT night, I would be a maybe. Friday is out. Last visit to SAT had us at the Marriott Riverwalk Towers for $99. Don't think I can match that, so I'll move across the bridge to the Palacio del Rio Hilton.

Little Reinhaus is a good dinner choice, but we have to do late night cocktails at Dick's!

Mr. Lion and Lady Hunnybear...

I booked the room at the Westin Riverwalk for Nov 3-5.

I am waiting for an airfare sale. CO went up and I figure I can spend 20 bucks more and still FLY UNITED>

SO as of this point (pending air fare) It looks like I"m a comin' down!

I am at the Westin SAT Riverwalk tonight. I was upgraded to huge suite right above the river. Great hotel with superb service.

Had dinner at Boudro's. OK. But not what I was really expecting. I had fun here. I can only imagine the weekends.

I think the Riverwalk has perhaps even better service than the Westin Portland. I'm really looking forward to returning now that the construction is complete!

Boudro's had good food and superb service when we went, and the table on the Riverwalk of course can't be beat for ambience.
