Just curious what you decided and how it ended up?

Did a miss a trip report or something by chance? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

An old thread and I think this has been answered, but I guess never clearly enough for me -- how to get from LGA to the Marriott Marquis for two people without costing an arm and a leg??

My wife hates public transportation (and after eighteen years of living in NYC, so do I) but shuttle buses and the like are OK. Are there any decent options? What will it cost me for the both of us?

You'd think after living in NYC for two decades I'd know something about the city, but all I know is the 7 Train to the 6 Train http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Two options:

the Grey LIne or Carey bus from LGA to either Grand central Terminal or, closer, Port Authority. I don't know the exact price but it's like under 20 bucks r-t. It does NOT take credit cards. You must have cash. (at least at teh Port Authority ticket office.)

The other way: Take a cab to the Astoria Boulevard Subway station. Take the N to 42nd street. (I sometimes go this route if I have time.)

Hope this helps.

If it's 2 people, you'd do better to get a taxi at the airport. It shouldnt run more than $25.

Actually, LarryU, doc was feeding us a straight line. Every proper name in the Hebrew language has a N.Y.C. limo company named after it. I'll be glad to turn over to you a week's worth of flyers and discount coupons next week in Parsippany. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Oh, I thought he was joking but not because I was unfamiliar with Tel Aviv. Unfortunately, I know them all too well. I have had some very interesting experiences with Tel Aviv car service recently and will never use them again. You can check out the scary details for yourself in the latter part of my trip report:
