I have the dubious pleasure of making the sensational statement that this is my 6,000th post. I was just wondering what the rate of drop off was. I remember a handful of regular serious posters from around the period 2005-2010 who have disappeared off the map, including a couple of moderators. I suppose people just move on in life, but I was just curious.

Yeah, it's just inevitable that people drift away for a variety of reason including they no longer travel as much as they once did so have less interest in coming back regularly. Like you I can count a few dozen veteran members who aren't around by choice but I'm hopeful they return to share their knowledge and add value to this site as you've.
