burkey (from PHL) and I decided to meet up in AUS ("The live music capital of the world") on the weekend of 28 JUL 2000. If you're interested in experiencing Texan hospitality, Austin style, come on down and join us!

Count me in. I just gave priceline a try for the hell of it and I got a fare confirmed for $147 including taxes.

Welcome burkey and nj_flyer! I will be your official chaffeur for this short weekend. I will try my best to give you a true Austin experience.

You have to experience the laid back attitude of Austinites, sample the best Tex-Mex cuisine, experience standing on the TX star in the State Capitol (which is actually taller than the US Capitol), cool off in Lake Austin or Lake Travis on my jet ski, and of course, 6th Street-- live music, Esther's Follies, fine dining, clubs, live music, pubs, and microbreweries.

flyme2 and Brigitte- I'm sorry you guys couldn't make it. If you ever find yourself in the area, please do not hesitate to call me. See you both in YUL!
