Oregon wine country over Memorial Day weekend

Shadow, Jackie and I are talking about visiting some of Oregon's fabulous vineyards on the first big tasting weekend of the year. (In case you don't have a calendar handy, that's the weekend of May 26-29th.)

Tastings are free or for a nominal fee, although some events will be catered and the fee will be more around $5-10.

Join us if you're interested.

Hmmmmmm, sans driving down, this sounds pretty good. I love the wine country.

Miles for Pinot on Memorial Day Weekend.

Clearly there are worse ways to spend one's time... I will look into fares.

He, hey, hey...watch that stuff Karen.

Don't gloat until you've tried the fine OR wines that are offered. I live within 15 minutes of 6-7 wineries, and another 10-12 are only about 20 minutes from those.

We'd love to have you & Einar join us to do a 'true' taste test...ask AnnaS about her wine tours.

Let's get one thing clear right now folks. If you wants Cabs, Merlot, or Zin... you can give California the prize. But don't, not even for one second, try and tell me that the Pinot Noirs in OR (finese, balance, harmony) are not superior to CA's Pinots (fruit, fruit, fruit). Do we REALLY need to argue this point??? I'm still looking for fares... hope I can make it.

dg1, I'll fly to SEA and rent a car, of course. How else would I get there?

geo1004, why not just snap up an AS web fare out of SEA and come down with Punki? Much nicer than three hours of drudgery on I-5.

Didn't I hear US was giving double miles to everywhere these days ...
