I have just stumbled onto this thread. Platinum please. Alas going away for a few weeks and have some deadlines when I get back, otherwise I would have put my hand up to help with organising.
Anyone interested in a harbour cruise during Vivid? Also Amex has a Vivid lounge the last few years but it can get quite crowded unless you are Centurion and you will be ushered to a private area. They provide complimentary canapes.

A Sunday evening vivid cruise would be good. If a cruise operator was selected (by someone) people could book individually. But always the risk any operator could be sold out. With 45 Plat at this time maybe 50% (22) will still be in Sydney for Sunday evening.

For those traveling on Qantas from the USA, Alaska has a pretty decent promo for double flight miles (must register by April 30, however only good for flights after May 31):

Separately, if you're flying on select nonstop domestic routes to SFO, LAX, SJC or SAN en route, double flight miles there, too, for flights after April 1:

Alaska still awards miles based on distance, so some serious miles in play.

Hi folks.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to help sort anything out this year for a variety of reasons.
Current plans have Sue and I arriving on the Thursday afternoon and departing on QF435 on Sunday. Staying at the Hilton for the 3 nights.

Debra and I are travelling in the same windows as you and sue, we leave Thursday on QF436 and return Sunday on QF445. We should meet in the Mel QC for a quick drink , and the syd lounge for another on Sunday , we could get to the lounge early and have an QF arvo

Our reasoning was: a) it would be past sunset at the 5:15 pm departure anyway, b) we'll have the opportunity to enjoy the cruise and what lights are visible from Vivid Sydney during that time and then c) would be down at the King Street Wharf both before and after and then have the option to wander further around the wharf/CBD that evening and night.
We welcome everyone who'd like to join us to also reserve/purchase the Groupon!
