Hot tip guys....book you hotels early as Vivid will be on, and hotel rooms won't be cheap!

Well so you do not feel left out, how about a train trip to Newcastle them fly NTL-BNE-SYD to Oz Fest & SYD-MEL-NTL on the way back.

Nope. Last year was 10 June, and has been announced in June before. Some years it did drift out to later, but now announcing soon so folks can look for awards 355/330 days out.

Seems to start the last week of May. But unclear how many Sydney visitors just for Vivid and how many locals attend. For a city the size on Sydney, even with an event, 40-50-60 for Oz Fest is not a lot.
